Sen. Hill Visits Grow Justice Mural in San Mateo County

California State Sen. Jerry Hill, D-San Mateo County/Santa Clara County, paid a recent visit to the Peninsula Jewish Community Center in Foster City to tour the Grow Justice mural.

The newly completed mural, which is 27’ wide x 12’ tall, was painted by community volunteers and captures the community’s interpretation of Judaism’s imperative for justice.

Upon studying the mural in a tour led by Cultural Arts Director, Kimberly Gordon, and learning of the symbolism captured throughout the mural’s 1,560 square feet, Sen. Hill said, “This is something that everyone should see. It really grasps you. The more people that see and understand the meaning of justice, the more engaged they will be in taking action.”
