Just after 7 a.m., a gas leak was reported in the 31800 block of Temecula and Red Hawk parkways, at Via Rio in the Vail Ranch Center.

Firefighters arrived at the scene where a two-inch gas line outside a commercial business broke for reasons as yet unidentified, according to Cal Fire spokesperson Alex Izaguirre.

"Localized evacuations of ten businesses were in place until SoCal Gas operatives can mitigate the leak," he said. That effort was completed, and Temecula Parkway at Via Rio, closed during the incident, reopened by 11 a.m.

No one was injured as a result of the leak and the cause was not immediately released.
