Man Killed in Butterfield Stage Road Crash Identified

TEMECULA, CA – Authorities Wednesday identified a man who was killed when the pickup truck he was driving collided with two cars in Temecula.

The crash occurred about 6:50 p.m. Tuesday on Butterfield Stage Road near La Serena Way, according to Jody Hagemann of the Riverside County Fire Department.

Marcus Gastiaburu, 47, of Murrieta died at the scene, the Riverside County coroner's office reported.
According to the Temecula Police Department, the pickup truck was eastbound on La Serena Way when it collided with a car that was southbound on Butterfield Stage Road.

The truck then collided with a car that was northbound on Butterfield Stage Road, police said. The fatally injured man was alone in his truck.

The driver of one car suffered moderate injuries, police said. No other injuries were reported.
