Firefighters Douse Venice Apartment Blaze

It took firefighters only 12 minutes to put out a duplex fire.

A non-injury fire in a Venice duplex was knocked down in 12 minutes by 34 firefighters this afternoon, authorities said.

The fire was reported at 5:09 p.m. at 648 Broadway St., said Katherine Main of the Los Angeles Fire Department.

The blaze broke out on the second floor of the two-story duplex, she said.
