"To help you weather this storm, Headspace and the LA County Department of Mental Health have partnered to provide support and resources during this challenging time," according to the website.

The pandemic has ignited fears among people and created a range of mental health responses among people, according to the Kaiser Family Foundation. This can negatively impact people who might be struggling with mental illness or substance abuse.

Resources, including Headspace, help offer LA County residents a way to take care of their own mental health.

"LA County and Headspace are proud to make this the first offering of its kind in the country - and to support county residents with new and innovative ways to cope with the COVID-19 health crisis," according to a news release.

The meditation app's offices are currently located in Santa Monica. Headspace was formerly housed in Venice.
