Elderly Driver Kills Pedestrian Post Office Parking Lot
A woman in her 70s died and her husband was injured when they were hit by a 91-year-old motorist in the post office parking lot.

A woman was killed and her husband injured today when they were struck by an SUV driven by a 91-year-old motorist in a post office parking lot in Mar Vista, authorities said.
The pedestrians were struck shortly after 10 a.m. in the 3800 block of South Grand View Boulevard, according to Brian Humphrey of the Los Angeles Fire Department.
The woman, who died at the scene, was 74, said Los Angeles police Officer Drake Madison. He said the 83-year-old male victim suffered cuts and bruises and perhaps a broken bone.

Drake said the driver, a 91-year-old woman whose name was not released, was interviewed at the scene. She was not arrested, but the investigation was continuing.
