UPDATED: Lifeguard Truck Strikes Woman on Ocean Front Walk

A 25-year-old woman was injured today when she was run over by a Los Angeles County lifeguard truck rushing to an emergency scene with its lights and sirens going in Venice.

The collision occurred in the 1500 block of Ocean Front Walk at 4:24 p.m., said Officer Sara Faden of the Los Angeles Police Department.

Faden said she did not know what the emergency was, but the woman was taken to a hospital. Faden said she did not know how extensive the woman’s injuries were, but she was in stable condition.
