'A Hide And Seek Game With The Moon': CA Photo of the Week

WALNUT CREEK, CA — Patch reader Nataliya Obolenskaya captured this stunning black and white photo in Walnut Creek recently. The image, which is equal parts beautiful and mysterious reminded Obolenskaya of a game of hide and seek game with the moon.
According to Brittanica.com, hide-and-seek was described by a Greek writer named Julius Pollux in the 2nd century BCE, which is really taking it way back. He calls the game apodidraskinda and describes it as something nearly identical to today's version of hide-and-seek. Today in Greece, hide-and-seek is called kryfto, according to the website.
Like with the moon here, the phrase most commonly associated with Hide and Seek is "ready or not, here I come."
