• Ygnacio Valley Library to close for major improvements (contracostaherald.com) — If you use Ygnacio Valley Library on Oak Grove Road, prepare for a long closure from September 9, 2026, through roughly May 31, 2027, while the branch gets major HVAC, roof, and electrical upgrades. During that time, holds will shift to Walnut Creek Library on North Broadway, and you'll need to borrow and return items at other nearby branches instead.
