Sunset At Wildlife Refuge: Photos Of The Day
These sunset photos are as beautiful as any that grace calendars.
FREMONT, CA — The smoky air that we endured for several days here in the Bay Area was lousy for breathing, but provided us with unreal sunsets.
Gilbert O'Young spent some time at the Don Edwards National Wildlife Refuge in Fremont, between Newark and Union City, where he snapped these amazing photos.
The refuge has hiking trails and is home to more than 200 species of birds at different times of the year, as birds use the estuary for rest and refuge along the Pacific flyway. In fact, birds seen this month include Black-crowned Night-Heron, Black-necked Stilt and American Avocet.
