Beckoning Toward New Adventure: Photo Of The Day

Who's taking the high road this weekend? The road less traveled? Get out and enjoy your life!

CASTRO VALLEY, CA — Are you familiar with the photography of Trey Ratcliff? He has turned a passion for photography into a career that allows him to travel the world. A tip that he gave to photographers during one of his 80 Stays photography walk series: always try to incorporate a trail, street or other pathway in your photos because we are anthropologically inclined to follow trails.

Patch reader Gordon Pascale of San Leandro demonstrates that beautifully with this photo he snapped at Fairmont Ridge Staging Area at Anthony Chabot Regional Park in Castro Valley. He took the photo last December before winter rains turned the grasslands into an emerald blanket. Are you ready to follow the path?

Thank you for sharing this photo, Gordon!
