Watsonville Receives $50K Grant from Packard Foundation

The David and Lucille Packard Foundation continue to support the Watsonville Environmental Science Workshop's Middle School Program!

The David and Lucille Packard Foundation is once again supporting the Watsonville Environmental Science Workshop as the City of Watsonville receives a grant in the amount of $50,000.

The grant is to continue the delivery of an after-school science, engineering and construction program in the middle schools in Watsonville over two years through July 31, 2016.

The City received a $44,000 grant in 2012 to begin to offer the program at middle schools in Watsonville over a two year period (2012/2013 & 2013/2014).

The photograph includes Dan Sudran, Director of Mission Science Workshop, leading a training for Watsonville Environmental Education Staff on electrical and circuit-related projects and tools. Staff got to watch salt-water connectivity variance through some of Dan’s great old-school amp-meters, and play with multimeters and power adapters.
