See: Police Show Car Possibly Involved In Kidnapping Attempt

A woman was dragged into a gray sedan while on an early morning run, but escaped, police say.

WATSONVILLE, CA β€” A woman, 48, was out for an early Sunday morning run near Ohlone Parkway and Yarro Court when a man approached her and dragged her into a gray sedan, the Watsonville Police Department said. Police are now releasing video of a car possibly involved in the incident.

The man, described as a 5'10 Hispanic man in his late 20s, saw the woman and asked if he could speak with her, police say. The woman kept running, but he grabbed her and pulled her into his sedan. She tried honking to horn to wake the neighbors and eventually got away, and ran to a neighbor's house to ask for help.

There are no reports of similar incidents, police say.

Police said they have drawn on surveillance footage in surrounding areas to get a better suspect and car description. He was wearing a white hooded sweater with blue, red and black stripes on the front, police say.

Police ask anyone with outdoor cameras facing Ohlone Parkway to review footage from 5:54 a.m. to 6 a.m. Sunday and share any footage of a gray sedan.
