Update on the Salsipuedes Creek Levee & Pajaro River Levee Projects

The County of  Santa Cruz has been working hard on the Salsipuedes Creek and Pajaro River Levee Projects. As of September 26th the following has been completed.

Salsipuedes Creek
  • Right bank surface work including asphalt concrete completed September 25th.
  •  Left bank surface work completed September 23rd.
  • Removal of perimeter silt fences completed September 25th.
  •  Smoothing out of aggregate base rock levee shoulders in progress.
  •  Hydroseeding of bare slope areas will begin October 7th.
  • Completion of construction / opening of levees on track for October 15th.
Pajaro River
  • Excavation and hauling completed August 23rd.
  • Hydroseeding of bare areas completed September 20th.
  •  Construction completed.

THE PROJECT IS ON TRACK TO COMPLETE ALL CONSTRUCTION BY THE LAST CONTRACT WORKING DAY OF OCTOBER 15TH.
