Watsonville City Hall Certified as Green Business

Watsonville City Hall is proud to be a newly certified Green Business.   Green Business Certification recognizes efforts in ongoing environmental sustainability (conservation) both in the services provided for residents and our workplace.

City Hall has made many money and resource conserving upgrades in an effort to reduce waste, conserve water and energy, and prevent pollution. (Solar Panels power most of City Hall and have saved the equivalent of almost 8,000 gallons of gasoline.) Water waste has been reduced in the outdoor landscaping and in indoor fixtures. Newer lighting and Energy Star monitors save energy and recycled copy paper saves trees and promotes recycling. YOU can also save money and natural resources at home and work through conservation.

You can find a listing of all green businesses in Watsonville in the Monterey Bay Area Green Business Program.
