Four Others Say Let Voters Decide (wehoonline.com) — West Hollywood voters just learned which City Council candidates want to appoint a replacement if John Erickson wins a State Senate seat, and which want a special election. Chelsea Byers and Helen Krieger favor appointment, while four rivals say voters should decide, setting up a high‑stakes scenario where November's winners could control how any vacancy is filled through 2028.
   

3. Six Billboards. 55 Years. What's WeHo's Cut? (wehoonline.com) — West Hollywood is weighing a 34‑story La Brea Avenue project whose six giant billboards could generate revenue for the city over 55 years, but the deal's fine print leaves big questions. Commissioners must decide Thursday how comfortable they are with a 20% cut based on opaque "adjusted net revenues," limited audits, and a 7.5% developer return before the city gets paid.
   

4. Taser Assault Suspect Arrested After Six-Hour West Hollywood Standoff (wehotimes.com) — A six-hour police standoff shut down part of Fuller Avenue on West Hollywood's east side Monday evening after a man allegedly tried to attack someone with a Taser, then barricaded himself in an apartment. Deputies, helicopters, and loudspeaker commands were used until a warrant was obtained; by about 10 p.m., the suspect was in custody and authorities said the community was safe.
