Coloradans faced the pandemic, wildfires, drought and many other major events in 2020, but the Patch stories that people read the most weren't the darkest ones.

In fact, the most-read story in Colorado was about when fall foliage was set to peak in our beautiful state.

The runners up? Stories about Comet Neowise, metro Denver's top pumpkin patches and a guide to meteor showers and supermoons.

That's not to say that coronavirus stories didn't make it into the top twenty most-read list, but those articles were about how Coloradans can persevere, such as a stay-at-home survival guide and how to check your stimulus payment status.

The top twenty most-read list also included how to watch the 'Christmas Star,' how to check if your vote was counted in the Nov. 3 election, UFO sightings in Colorado and a list of store closures when the pandemic first hit our state.
