The shooting occurred during a dispute between Borquez and a man, police said. The two knew each other, but the nature of their relationship was not known. They were with a group of people they knew at the time, and a child — who is related to Borquez — was there when the shooting occurred, authorities said.
Borquez was taken into custody while investigators interviewed witnesses.

The man was arrested Tuesday night on unrelated charges, police said. Police initially said that the two exchanged gunfire; however, an investigation revealed that only Borquez fired shots, officials said.
Borquez's bail was set at $50,000. Her preliminary hearing is scheduled for March 19.
