Motorcyclist Points Gun At Driver On Hwy 72: Sheriff's Office
Investigators are searching for suspects wanted in connection with a road rage threat on the Peak-to-Peak Highway, officials said.

BOULDER COUNTY, CO — The Boulder County Sheriff's Office has released images of suspects who are wanted in connection with a road rage threat near Nederland. Investigators are searching for three motorcyclists after one of them pulled a gun on a driver, officials said.
Around 2 p.m. May 30, the motorcyclists were seen passing drivers on State Highway 72 near the 38-mile marker "in a dangerous manner at a high rate of speed," the sheriff's office said.
"One of the riders passed a vehicle on a double yellow, the second rider tried to pass the same vehicle and the driver hugged the centerline to prevent the action," the sheriff's office said in a news release. "This rider passed the vehicle and produced a handgun from his front waistband and pointed it at the motorist."

All three motorcycles appeared to be dark sport bikes with no visible license plates, and one of the motorcycles had red wheels, officials said. The riders all appeared to be male and were wearing black helmets; the lead rider’s helmet is believed to have some blue on the rear quarter or blue tint on the visor. Another rider’s helmet had multiple pink Breast Cancer Awareness ribbons on its surface, officials said. The lead rider’s motorcycle also had a flashing rear tail light.
The Boulder County Sheriff's Office is looking for other witnesses and potential victims. Anyone with information is asked to call Detective Angela Gondor at 303-441-3646.
