Two hikers, a nurse and an EMT, helped a woman after her vehicle crashed down a steep embankment off Flagstaff Road, authorities said.

BOULDER COUNTY, CO — A 49-year-old woman was seriously injured Thursday morning in a crash down a steep embankment in Boulder County. Her vehicle crashed off Flagstaff Road near the Green Mountain Trail, the Boulder County Sheriff's Office said.
The Boulder County Communications Center received a 911 call just before 10 a.m. from a family member who was concerned about the welfare of the woman, the sheriff's office said. The family member used a phone app to locate the woman in the Flagstaff Mountain area. First responders from multiple agencies responded to the area to search for her.
Two hikers on the Green Mountain Trail heard the woman's vehicle go off the road near the trail, the sheriff's office said. They found the vehicle, with the woman partially ejected.

The actions of those witnesses was instrumental in ensuring the victim was able to make it to a location where she could receive more advanced medical care."
Search and rescue conducted a technical evacuation and used a litter to get the woman up the steep embankment, authorities said.
