📰 News we're reading

• Drought causes Broomfield golf club to close (denvergazette.com) — Broomfield's Eagle Trace Golf Club has permanently closed after drought conditions and the sale of its water rights left the course without enough water to operate. While other Front Range courses, including Greenway Park in Broomfield, are tightening water use, only Eagle Trace has shut down, and neighbors are now weighing in on what should happen with the large property next.

• Clergy Appreciation Day (livinglutheran.org) — One Broomfield member celebrates Pastors Scott McAnally and Randy Pabst at Lutheran Church of Hope, saying their preaching leaves the congregation feeling spiritually filled and ready to serve the community. Their shout-out appears among many nationwide tributes shared for Clergy Appreciation Day, highlighting how strong pastoral care shapes people's lives during hospital stays, life crises, and everyday worship.
