• Ballot Measure 'Explainer' Forum with the League of Women Voters of Chaffee County (arkvalleyvoice.com) — Voters in Buena Vista can attend two League of Women Voters forums at the Chaffee County Public Safety Complex on Steele Drive to unpack this year's 14 statewide ballot measures. Presenters will outline pros and cons, share the League's stated positions, and invite residents to voice their own views, with a video posted online afterward for anyone who can't attend.
   

• SAR, K9 Archie locate missing children (chaffeecountytimes.com) — Three young visitors from Denver who went missing near the Midland Bike Trail outside Buena Vista on Sept. 26 were safely found after a rapid search by Chaffee County Search and Rescue and K9 deputy Archie. Crews traced the children about 1.5 miles from camp and reunited them with family within a few hours, drawing praise from the sheriff for the volunteer team.
