Here are the top three stories in Colorado Springs today:

  1. The City of Colorado Springs is inviting the public to provide feedback on the future of the Colorado Springs City Auditorium. The forum meeting will be held on Feb. 24 at 5:30 PM at the City Auditorium. Project summaries and updates will be given to the public during the meeting with a live music performance given.   2. According to a new study, Colorado Springs citizens are experiencing the highest rate of catalytic converter thefts in the nation. Colorado as a state saw a 1,500 percent increase in thefts in 2021 with the rate of thefts not declining into the current year. State lawmakers are working to pass legislation to disincentivize the thefts but reportedly repair shops are not optimistic. (Colorado Springs Gazette)
  3. The University of Colorado - Colorado Springs will introduce two new bachelor's degree programs for the fall 2022 semester. Students will be able to earn a bachelor of science in aerospace engineering and a bachelor of arts in music. The aerospace engineering degree's goal is to help graduates secure high-paying jobs in the growing Colorado aerospace industry, while the music degree will enable students to specialize in their desired field of study within the music field.
