  1. A Colorado Springs shopping mall was evacuated on Wednesday after a 'large' gas leak. At around 2:20 p.m., Colorado Springs Fire Department spokesperson Capt. Mike Smaldino reported that The Chapel Hills Mall had been completely evacuated with the help of mall security, and that the gas line had been shut off. He said the break was caused by high wind activity, but said a specific cause for the break hadn't yet been identified. (Colorado Springs Gazette)
  2. A man was caught on video breaking into a church's bus and trying to steal a golf cart. Local police are searching for the suspect who caused damage to a church bus and also attempted to enter four other vehicles at the church located on Nonchalant Circle South. Police have described the suspect as a Hispanic male, approximately 20 years old, with an average height/build, and short black hair. (FOX21News.com)
  3. A standoff with armed man occurred in southeast Springs on Wednesday morning after the man barricaded himself inside a home and refused to surrender to police. Officers went to a home in the area of Brentwood and Gomer just before 9 a.m. to execute an arrest warrant. The subject of the warrant saw police and locked himself inside the house. (KKTV 11 News)
