Colo. Springs Airport Shooting Suspect Sought

Police are seeking a man in connection with the double-shooting of a man and woman near the Colorado Springs airport Sunday.

COLORADO SPRINGS, CO -- UPDATE: Camacho was taken into custody Wednesday night in Pueblo County. Police announced Tuesday that the Violent Crimes Homicide Unit is seeking a man in connection with the man and woman found shot in the parking lot of 5100 Airport Road on April 22, 2018. A warrant was issued for William Camacho, Jr., 34.

Camacho was described by police as a Hispanic male 5’9”, 160-185 pounds with black hair and brown eyes. Camacho has a tattoo along his forehead hairline, which is visible when his hair is short.

Police responding to a parking lot near the airport Sunday night around 9:15 p.m. found a man with serious gunshot wounds and a woman with "obvious trauma and no signs of life," according to a statement. The injured man was taken to a hospital.

The woman was not yet identified by the El Paso County coroner's office.
