First, today's weather:
Breezy in the afternoon. High: 66 Low: 42.
Here are the top three stories today in Colorado Springs:
- The Colorado Springs area is under a fire weather watch today due to gusty winds and low humidity levels. The National Weather Service in Pueblo issued the fire weather watch after red flag warnings were recorded on Sunday. The area has experienced several fires over the past week. (Colorado Springs Gazette)
- Colorado Springs' Clay Enoch's work will be featured in the Colorado Governor's Art Show. He received the Award of Merit last year during the annual exhibit at Loveland Museum. This year's show will run through May 22. (Colorado Springs Gazette)
- Protestors took to the street on Friday to protest the rezoning of a lot near Mountain Ridge Middle School. The lot is expected to be rezoned to make way for a three-story tall apartment building by Titan Development. The protestors acknowledge that the city needs more housing but are upset that the apartment building is three stories in a neighborhood that is full of single-family homes. (KRDO)
