Here are the top three stories today in Colorado Springs:

  1. On Saturday night, a man was stabbed in the leg outside the Goodwill on South Academy. The circumstances surrounding the stabbing have not been shared with the public; the suspect has been described as an Asian man with teardrop tattoos on his cheek. Anyone with information on the suspect is asked to contact the Colorado Springs Police Department or Crime Stoppers. (KKTV)
  2. Panorama Park, the City of Colorado Springs' largest neighborhood park project to date, is taking shape as crews undertake a variety of renovations. The new park will feature an accessible playground and sensory area, a multipurpose turf field, public art installations, and more. For further details on Panorama Park and pictures of the progress so far, please visit the full press release. (Press Release Desk)
  3. A 49-year-old man was arrested for charges in Colorado Springs stemming from a sexual assault incident involving a 14-year-old. In December 2021, Anthony Lee Fruzia allegedly took the teen to a hotel and forced him to perform sexual acts. The victim reported the assault to Safe Passage, the children's advocacy center for El Paso County. According to the victim's father, Fruzia was a Boy Scouts leader in Texas and was blacklisted in the 1990s amid abuse allegations. (FOX 31 Denver)
