Here are the top three stories today in Colorado Springs:
- The Colorado Springs Fire Department investigated a possible hazmat situation on Thursday evening. The incident occurred on the corner of S. Cascade Avenue and Dorchester Drive. The department blocked the area with hazard tape and asked the public not to cross. The El Paso County Sheriff's Office has not detailed what caused the situation. (KKTV)
- Several Colorado Springs restaurants participated in Dining Out For Life on Thursday. The event is meant to raise funds for Project Angel Heart which delivers meals to people suffering from severe illnesses. - A 3-vehicle crash caused Thursday morning commute delays on southbound Union lanes. The crash involved a school bus, a car, and an SUV. The three children on the school bus were uninjured but the individuals in the other two vehicles sustained injuries. The Colorado Springs Police Department has issued a citation to one of the drivers but has not indicated which vehicle's driver that was. (KKTV)
