Hosted by nonprofit Dementia Together, the event also offers limited complimentary on-site respite care with advance registration, helping care partners learn new approaches while loved ones are safely supported nearby. 
2. The real reason Los Tarascos is closing after 31 years (coloradoan.com) — Fort Collins diners are saying goodbye to Los Tarascos, the beloved Mexican restaurant on South College Avenue that's closing Sept. 23 after 31 years so owners Jose and Maria Caballero can finally slow down. The story traces their journey from Michoacán to Fort Collins, how the community helped them buy their building, and how the restaurant fulfilled their dream of new opportunities for their children.
3. Northern Colorado church building contaminated with methamphetamine sold for $1.3 million (cbsnews.com) — A longtime Fort Collins Mennonite church near Old Town, known for welcoming people experiencing homelessness, has been sold for $1.3 million after tests found meth contamination the congregation couldn't afford to clean up. The building is expected to be demolished and likely replaced with higher-end housing, while the church searches for a new permanent home to continue its outreach work.
4. Man accused of catfishing victims in Larimer County pleads guilty (kansas.com) — A Larimer County man accused of luring two dating-app users to remote locations and trapping them in his vehicle has pleaded guilty to misdemeanor indecent exposure. Reported by the Fort Collins Coloradoan, the plea deal drops more serious charges but requires sex offender registration, intensive supervised probation, treatment, and a sentence satisfied by time already served.
5. Waymo could compete with RTD — but officials aren't worried (denvergazette.com) — Regional transit leaders are weighing budget cuts and new competition from Waymo's driverless taxis even as RTD commits over $200 million to the planned Colorado Connector rail line between Denver and Fort Collins. For Fort Collins residents, the debate could shape future rail service, bus frequency, and how autonomous vehicles might eventually integrate with public transit along the Front Range.
