Local advocates and families tied to the former rail hub are sharing memories and emphasizing how preserving the depot protects a key piece of the city's railroad and economic history.

Ranchers across the Western Slope are cutting herds, hauling water, and facing soaring costs as state officials brace for high-stakes negotiations and possible lawsuits over future Colorado River allocations that could shape Grand Junction's long-term water security.
