2 Jeffco Schools Placed On Lockout During Police Investigation

LAKEWOOD, CO — Two Jeffco public schools were placed under lockout Wednesday during a criminal investigation in the area, district officials said. No one was able to enter or leave Warren Tech and Mclain during the lockouts.

Lockouts at both schools were lifted just after 1 p.m., school officials said.

Jeffco Public Schools issued an alert at 12:30 p.m. warning of the lockouts. All students were safe, officials said.

A criminal investigation was being conducted in the area, Lakewood police said.

Vicente Enrique Orozco, 19, was arrested in connection with one of two fatal stabbings at Belmar Park.
