4 Arrested In Connection With Murder In Lakewood

Four people have been taken into custody after a man was shot to death in what appears to be a carjacking, Lakewood police said.

LAKEWOOD, CO — Three men and a woman were taken into custody in connection with a murder in Lakewood. A 56-year-old man was shot Oct. 15 in what appears to be an attempted carjacking, police said.

Officers were called to an apartment complex in the 200 block of S. Teller Street around 12:30 a.m., and found Rene Perez in the parking lot suffering from a gunshot wound, police said.

He was taken to a local hospital, where he later died.

Alec Philippe Destree, 20, Dominic Joseph Maestas, 19, Manuel Garcia, 18, and Autumn Lucero, 21, were taken into custody on suspicion of first-degree murder.
