Body In Lakewood Car Trunk IDed: JeffCo Sheriff

BREAKING: A Lakewood man, missing since May, was identified as the body found in an abandoned car Friday.

LAKEWOOD, CO– The Jefferson County Sheriff's office announced that the human remains found in an abandoned car trunk Friday were identified.

Dean Clark Willis, 52, of Lakewood, was identified as the deceased person located in the car found at 3505 S. Nelson Circle June 28. Willis had been missing since May 9.

A U.S. Marshal who was searching for Wallis because he had reportedly violated his parole, found Wallis's car and called the sheriff's office after noticing the odor from the car trunk, the sheriff's office said in a statement.

The sheriff's office did not immediately identify Wallis's cause of death.
