LAKEWOOD, CO -- Big changes may be coming to Lakewood as the Colorado Coalition for the Homeless moves closer to developing a 59-acre housing site on the Federal Center property.
Ward 1 City Council members Ramey Johnson and Charlie Able will host a question-and-answer session Feb. 3 with residents and the coalition's president/CEO John Parvensky, and Chief Operating Officer, Lisa Thompson. Saturday's meeting will be held at Holy Shepherd Lutheran Church, 920 Kipling St. in Lakewood between 9:30 - 11 a.m.
Parvensky told Lakewood City Council members the organization is eager to meet with neighbors and explain the proposed site which may eventually have 600 units of housing for persons experiencing homelessness.
