Lakewood Heroes: Help Patch Recognize Those Making A Difference
We all know someone who's making a difference in this difficult time. Let's give them some of the recognition they deserve.
LAKEWOOD, CO — The adage 'not all heroes wear capes' is one that's apparent in society now, more than ever. Countless people are putting themselves in danger by simply showing up to work in essential roles for our communities, risking possible infection from the new coronavirus. Doctors, nurses, police and grocery store workers alike are just some of the professions with a high potential for exposure to the virus.
Coloradans have helped each other in extraordinary ways since the new coronavirus outbreak began. Many organizations, such as The Action Center in metro Denver, are continuing their efforts to help provide food and services those in need. And more than 150 medical and mental health professionals have volunteered to help Boulder County hospitals deal with a surge of patients amid the new coronavirus pandemic.
We know you've encountered or seen such heroes around town, and we want to help recognize as many of these people as possible. Let us know about those making a difference in this difficult time by filling out the form below and we'd be happy to share their impact with the rest of the community.
