LAKEWOOD, CO -- Jeanie Baxter, 64, was found and is safe, Lakewood police announced Thursday. Family members and police had been searching for Baxter, who was considered an endangered adult and may have been homeless after losing her housing arrangements in Lakewood. Lakewood police had not had contact since October, 2017, when officers reported they gave Baxter a meal and sent her via public transportation to a homeless shelter in Denver. "With your help and the help of the public, Ms. Baxter has been located and is safe and well," Detective Timmy Marquez of Lakewood Police said in an email.
