LAKEWOOD, CO — A woman who was swept away by flash flooding Saturday in Lakewood has been identified. Rescue crews found her body near Lakewood Gulch Sunday.
The woman has been identified as 38-year-old Jeannette Reynolds, a transient living in the area, the Lakewood Police Department said.
A witness told police she was in the water during the flash flooding near 12th and Miller Street Saturday. It's now been confirmed that she drowned at about 5 p.m., police said.

Rescue crews were called to the area at about 6:30 p.m., and searched for nearly two hours before lightning storms and deep water made the mission too dangerous.
The crews returned Sunday morning to find the water level had gone down, but the search was hindered by thick vegetation, authorities said.
