• Loveland library launches little learners' love of reading (reporterherald.com) — Loveland Public Library has launched a "1000 Books Before Kindergarten" program to help local children build strong early reading and language skills through shared storytime with caregivers. Families can track books via an app or paper log, earn prize bags and free books at 500 and 1,000 titles, and tailor reading choices to each child's interests to keep the experience joyful and consistent.
   

• Larimer County Launches Youth Gun Safety Campaign (northfortynews.com) — Loveland teens and families are being urged to think twice around firearms as Larimer County's new "Choices" campaign rolls out with support from Loveland Police and local schools. The initiative uses a teen-focused video and resources in English and Spanish to encourage walking away from risky situations and talking openly about gun safety, long-term goals, and mental health.
   

• Students Are Rising Up Against Flock Cameras Over Constant Surveillance (pulptastic.com) — A Loveland high school senior has launched DeFlock Loveland to push for the removal of AI-powered Flock surveillance cameras from his school district and city. His petition, now hundreds of signatures strong, argues the technology threatens privacy and civil liberties, even as officials acknowledge the cameras were disconnected and continue talks about what to do with the remaining hardware.
