The system would auto-flag violations for officer review, erase non-violator data within a day, and issue no-point fines, but some council members worry about privacy and surveillance.
   

2. Pueblo coroner IDs man, 42, killed in city's 13th fatal crash of 2026 (chieftain.com) — Pueblo authorities have identified 42-year-old Randy A. Meador as the victim in the city's 13th fatal crash of 2026, a three-car wreck Tuesday evening on Eagleridge Boulevard near I-25. Several others were hospitalized, westbound Eagleridge and ramps were closed for hours, and Pueblo police traffic investigators are still working the case.
   

3. Former Pueblo police officer sentenced to 90 days in jail for sexual exploitation of a child (krdo.com) — A former Pueblo police officer has been sentenced to 90 days in jail, five years of intensive sex offender probation, and 250 hours of community service after pleading to three counts of sexual exploitation of a child. The officer resigned in 2025 after Pueblo police learned of the investigation, and the 4th Judicial District announced the sentence this week in Pueblo.
   

4. Pueblo County Football looking to build on winning culture entering new season (krdo.com) — Pueblo County High's football team is riding last season's 7-4 record, undefeated home slate, and sweep of Pueblo-area rivals into a new year with even bigger ambitions. Players and coaches say intense, competitive practices are fueling confidence for a deeper playoff run and another shot at proving they're among Pueblo's top programs.
   

5. Volunteers help Beulah property owners as community waits for more government relief (koaa.com) — Volunteer crews are helping Beulah residents repair flood-damaged driveways and roads while many wait for more formal relief, with Pueblo County working alongside the state on USDA disaster funding. State officials say they've funded resiliency managers in Pueblo County and completed damage assessments needed before requesting a presidential major disaster declaration, which could unlock more long-term recovery support.
