"Wind Advisory remains in effect until 8am, then the gusts drop below 30 mph," said WFSB 3 TV meteorologists. "Careful traveling because wind gusts as high as 60 mph overnight knocked down tree limbs, trees, and power lines. 1-2″ of rainfall also caused river levels to rise and minor flooding is expected until 2pm along the Housatonic River at the Stevenson Dam. A flurry can’t be ruled out, otherwise increasing sunshine, breezy, and in the 30s. Behind this storm system, for St. Patrick’s Day today, we’re dry and brighter, but cooler and breezy. Temps that peak in the lower 40s will feel more like the 30s thanks to the breeze."
