New Meteorologist Hired By CT Station
A new meteorologist is joining a Connecticut news station.
CONNECTICUT — Meteorologist Zack Duhaime is joining the WTNH News-8 crew this month. Landing the job was "a dream come true" for Duhaime, who has wanted to work at the station since childhood, according to his bio.
He has been passionate about weather since he was 5 years old.
"He looked up to those such as the late Dr. Mel, Gil Simmons, and Sam Kantrow," his bio reads. "To be a member of this weather team is such an honor, a dream, and an actual full-circle moment for him."

Duhaime graduated from Western Connecticut State University with a bachelor’s degree in meteorology and a minor in broadcast journalism in 2019. He began his career as a freelance broadcast meteorologist at News 12 Networks. In 2020, he became a member of the WGGB-Western Mass News weather team in Springfield.
Duhaime started at that station, participating in team coverage events of snow storms, severe weather events, and record temperatures. He was then promoted to weekend morning meteorologist in 2022, where he remained until he was hired by WTNH.
