Avon's 12-year-old baseball all-stars won their first game in the District 6 double-elimination championship round. The 5-3 victory over Simsbury American on Monday night came after the game was suspended in the fifth inning due to weather.
The Avon 12s' next opponent is Burlington - game scheduled for Thursday at 5:45pm in Harwinton.
