A mailed newsletter, project website, and upcoming events with Avon Volunteer Fire Department members explain the proposal and reasons for updating the fire stations, giving residents multiple ways to learn more and offer feedback.
   

• Avon Girl Scouts To Host America 250 Fun Run This Weekend (patch.com) — Avon Girl Scouts are inviting families to the "Race Through Herstory" fun run, part of the town's America 250 celebration highlighting history and civic pride. The event includes a 5K, kid mile, little kid dash, plus a bake sale and coloring table, with day-of registration available even if you missed the early T-shirt deadline.
