AVON, CT — The Town of Avon has quietly settled a federal lawsuit filed by a former doctor against the town regarding allegations he was falsely charged in 2014 with sexual assault.

According to the minutes of that meeting, the council "authorizes the town manager to take all actions necessary and appropriate to finalize the settlement."
