Plastics – versatile, durable, and relatively inexpensive. These qualities are the reasons plastics have become assimilated into all aspects of our lives from water bottles to clothing. However, these same qualities are the reason plastic pollution has become a major global problem.

Join NAMEPA’s Education and Outreach Director, Lisa Piastuch, to learn more about the plastic pollution clogging our lands and oceans and simple changes you can embrace to reduce the plastic pollution problem!

The North American Marine Environment Protection Association (NAMEPA) is a marine industry-led organization of environmental stewards preserving the marine environment by promoting sustainable marine industry best practices and educating seafarers, students and the public about the need and strategies for protecting global ocean, lake and river resources.
