Avon Library To Host Virtual Program On White-Tailed Deer In Connecticut
The Zoom session is scheduled for Tuesday, Oct. 6.

The “White-tailed Deer in Connecticut” presentation focuses on the history of white-tailed deer in Connecticut, an overview of white-tailed deer habitat, diet, behavior, and reproduction. It also provides practical recommendations for optimum coexistence with our white-tailed deer population.
Presenter: Paul Colburn is a 2015 graduate of the Master Wildlife Conservationist Program (MWCP) and a certified Master Wildlife Conservationist (MWC). The MWCP is a Connecticut Department of Energy & Environmental Protection (DEEP) adult education program that trains volunteers in the fields of wildlife management, natural history and interpretation. Mr. Colburn has provided over 230 wildlife presentations across the state and participated in several wildlife research projects. He offers MWC presentations on Black Bears, Bobcats, Eastern Coyote, Fisher, White-tailed Deer and a natural history of Connecticut dating back to 1650. Mr. Colburn is an avid outdoorsman, a graduate of Wesleyan University and served honorably in the United States Army.
