Avon Resident Group Opposes Nod Road Development

A developer has a large apartment complex in the works.

AVON, CT - A developer has proposed a large housing development on Nod Road, leading to local opposition against the project, according to the Hartford Courant. Developer Anthony Giorgio said he expects to have final plans for the 108-unit apartment complex that would occupy about 50 acres by the end of the year.

However, some residents are saying that the development will ruin the area's rural character. A group opposing the project said they have gained hundreds of signatures.
