Avon Students Help Fight Childhood Cancer

Avon students are raising money for a worthy cause.

AVON, CT — This Halloween, Avon students will have the opportunity to trick or treat for a good cause by helping to raise money for a local charity called Vie for the Kids!

Vie for the Kids is a local non-profit 501c3 charity whose mission is to provide funding for pediatric cancer clinical trials and financial support for patients and their families. This charity is committed to ensuring that kids can receive the care and treatment they need right here in our own backyard.

Each student has been given a container to collect coins, cash, or checks made out to Vie for the Kids during Halloween trick or treating. Donations are tax deductible. Additional containers will be available if needed. Participation is optional.

The containers must be returned to your child’s teacher no later than Thursday November 7th, 2019.
