Avon's Fisher Meadows Fields Expansion Project Is Almost Finished

All fields, both new and existing, have been renumbered to create one cohesive facility.

August 13, 2020

The Fisher Meadows Fields Expansion Project is 90% complete. All fields (both new and existing) have been renumbered to create one cohesive facility. Thanks to the Engineering Department for your help designing new signage for the facility, including detailed maps. Copies of the maps have been provided to the sports leagues to assist with scheduling for the fall season. Approximately 66% of the new field areas will be fertilized, sliced seeded and aerated this fall and not available for use. The remaining 33% will be used for soccer this fall. Another exciting addition to Fisher Meadows is a car top boat launch with access to the Farmington River located to the south of the new Old Farms Road Bridge. This amenity was a component of the Old Farms Road Bridge Project recently completed by the CT Department of Transportation.
