Bodytalk Boutique in Avon Organizes Event and Merchant Support for Gifts of Love

Bodytalk Boutique in Avon is hosting a Spring Looks Fashion Event on Thursday, March 27 from 4pm – 7pm at their 51 East Main Street location.  The event will feature Bodytalk Boutique showcasing hot fashion looks for spring, Cahoots Hair Design offering hair and make-up consultation, Hot Heaven Pizza and Grist Mill Restaurant offering appetizers, and a glass of Prosecco for guests provided by Super Cellar of Avon. 

Tickets for the Spring Looks Fashion Event are available at Bodytalk Boutique for $25 per person.  All proceeds from ticket sales will be donated to Gifts of Love in Avon, which provides basic need services, including food, clothing, linens, housewares and furniture, for people in need throughout Greater Hartford.  The first 75 people to purchase event tickets will receive a $25 Bodytalk Boutique coupon good towards purchases made during the Spring Looks Fashion Event.

Bodytalk Boutique has also arranged for merchants at 51 East Main to donate items for a Prize Calendar.  Designed for the month of April, the calendar features items that will be raffled off every day of the month except for Sundays.  Items include a Vera Bradley handbag donated by My Secret Garden, a “Bagel Bundle” donated by Bruegger’s Bagels, and gift certificates valued at $25 each donated by Apple Rehab Sport and Spa. 

“This is such a great way to give back to the community,” said Bodytalk Boutique Store Manager Terry Berthiaume.  “If not for the 51 East Main merchants pulling together, the Spring Looks Fashion Show and Prize Calendar would not be possible and, thus, we could not support Gifts of Love to the extent that we are.”

Prize calendars are available for purchase at Bodytalk Boutique for $10 each beginning Friday, March 14.  For every calendar purchased, the purchaser gets one raffle ticket.  A drawing will be held 26 out of the 30 days in April for amazing items.  All proceeds from the Prize Calendar will also be donated to Gift of Love.

“I like how Gifts of Love works with people who are having a hard time making ends meet,” said Berthiaume.  “There’s even a need in Avon.”
